Purpose
This policy establishes the framework for delivering EMS educational programs to ensure the content and materials are effectively conveyed to the intended audience, fostering a high standard of learning and competency.
Scope
This policy applies to all instructors, course coordinators, and staff involved in the development and delivery of EMS educational programs, including initial certification, continuing education, and specialty courses.
Educational Content Protection Policy
Raven Medical, Inc. is committed to delivering EMS educational programs that meet or exceed industry standards. All programs shall be designed, implemented, and evaluated to ensure they are accessible, relevant, and effectively delivered to the intended audience. Aligning with national and state EMS educational guidelines.
Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for all material they have access to. Copyrighted material and sensitive material such as lectures, handouts, and homework shall be secured in a manner to limit exposure, plagiarism, and cheating.
All course materials shall be delivered to the intended audience in a manner that ensures comprehension and engagement. Instructors must utilize secure methods for distributing educational content, such as password-protected online platforms or physical handouts distributed in class. The reproduction, distribution, or sharing of course materials outside of the intended audience is strictly prohibited without prior authorization.
Program Design
- Courses must align with recognized standards such as the National EMS Education Standard or NCOEMS guidelines.
- Content must address the needs and professional levels of the intended audience (e.g., EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic).
Instructor Qualifications
- All instructors must meet or exceed minimum certification requirements for the level of content being taught.

Instructional Delivery
- Use a variety of instructional methods (e.g., lectures, hands-on skills lab, simulations, written assignments, and online modules) to cater to different learning styles.
- Maintain an environment conducive to learning, free of distractions, and accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Curriculum Materials
- Ensure all instructional materials are up-to-date, evidence-based, and approved by the appropriate regulatory body.
- Provide material in formats suitable for diverse learners, including print, digital, and visual aids.
Assessment and Evaluation
Delivery Monitoring
- Program Directors must oversee and ensure consistent quality in course delivery across all offerings.
- Periodic audits and peer reviews of course delivery methods must be conducted.

Learner Support
Compliance
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to EMS education.
- Document and report course completion and certification in compliance with regulatory requirements to advisory committee.
Responsibilities
- Students: Secure copyrighted and sensitive material such as lectures, handouts, and homework to limit exposure, plagiarism, and cheating.
- Instructors: Deliver content effectively and maintain professional standards in the classroom and skills labs.
- Program Directors: Ensure alignment of course materials with this policy and monitor instructional quality.
- Administrative Staff: Provide logistical and operational support for course delivery.
