Raven EMS Education Program ManualSub-Section 7.50.500 - EMT Application and Selection
Raven Medical, Inc. will review completed student applications. Upon meeting minimum admission standards, or higher, qualified applicants will be offered a seat in the EMT program in the following priority:
- Raven employee
- Current emergency responder and military enlistment status
- Highest entrance exam score (if applicable)
- Entrance exam is only required if the number of applicants exceed classroom, lab, or clinical space or slots available.
- The entrance exam will be a high school level, general knowledge multiple-choice test.
- There is no minimum score - the highest scoring applicants will be selected.
In the event of more applicants than available seats, an entrance exam is used to select and admit prospective EMT students with the best chances of success in the EMT program. It is also used as a diagnostic tool to assess the incoming students’ strengths and weaknesses.
