Sub-Section 7.37.583 - EMR Experiential Learning

Credit for experiential learning, advanced placement, or transfer of credits from another institution will not be offered or provided except for minor certificates. Minor certificates that have previously been completed may be used in lieu of attending those specific classes again. Case-by-case approval must be attained, and certificates provided prior to the class in question. Additionally, if the course has a post-test, you must repeat the post-test with the rest of the class and that test score will be used. Examples include, but not limited to:

• AHA courses (note, to be eligible to attempt NCOEMS testing, your BLS certificate must be dated within the past 12 months),
• NAEMT courses,
• NIMS courses,
• NIHSS course,
• Etc.
