Sub-Section 5.75.625 - Maintenance and Cleaning of Equipment

Objective: Have a guideline for cleaning and maintaining equipment for Raven Medical Inc. and build a standard for all employees to follow.

  1. Consumables
    1. Any consumable item used shall be inspected prior to use or instructional load-out. Items will be free of dirt/debris and in sealed package based on how they arrive from distributor.
    2. All items will be checked for expiration date.
    3. All items will be inspected before and after class to insure they are in good working order.
    4. All items that can be reused, will be inspected for debris, strength, rust, frays, fluids and serviceability. Then serviced and reported by instructor. Items not in compliance shall be discarded properly.
    5. All items not in use will be inspected monthly to ensure serviceability and use/expiration dates comply.
    6. Items in need of replacement will be ordered locally or through our vendor.
  2. Metals/Instruments
    1. All medical instruments will be cleaned before and after use or instructional load out.
    2. Metal items inspected for serviceability, rust, and general cleanliness prior to and after training.
    3. After a metal item is used, then cleaned, disinfected, sterilized or otherwise sanitized before storage.
    4. Items in need or replacement will be ordered locally or through our vendor.
  3. Durable
    1. All durable items will be checked for cleanliness, frays, burns, holes, and serviceability.
    2. Any item that does not meet serviceability guidelines will be cleaned or otherwise discarded and replaced.
    3. Items with dirt, debris, any type of fluid, shall be washed and properly dried for storage to prevent mold.
    4. Items in need or replacement will be ordered locally or through our vendor.
  4. Electronic
    1. All electronic items will be checked before and after classes to ensure serviceability.
    2. Electronics will be cleaned with electronic safe, antibacterial wipes or sprays.
    3. If any item is no longer serviceable, it shall be replaced with the same item or an upgraded version.
    4. Items in need of replacement will be ordered locally or through our vendor.
  5. Any questions, comments or concerns will be placed with the Director of Medical Operations.
