Sub-Section 5.62.250 - Grading

The grade for each course is determined by attendance, quizzes, written exams, practical exams, and/or final exams; thus, reflecting mastery of the course material based on the percentage of the total points scored as being correct. For continuing education courses without exam or other grading mechanism, grades will be assessed by the percentage of content the student was present for.

Grades will be determined as follows:

B- 80.0% 83.2999% FAIL PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS Minimum passing score for Red Cross classes is 80%.
C+ 78.0% 79.9999% FAIL PASS PASS FAIL PASS PASS Minimum overall grade to be eligible for program certification test (i.e. NCOEMS, NREMT) is 78%.
C+ 76.7% 77.9999% FAIL PASS PASS FAIL PASS FAIL
C 76.0% 76.6999% FAIL PASS PASS FAIL PASS FAIL Minimum passing score for NAEMT certificate classes is 76%.
C- 73.0% 75.9999% FAIL PASS FAIL FAIL PASS FAIL Minimum passing grade for IBSC certification courses is 73%.
C- 70.0% 72.9999% FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL PASS FAIL Minimum passing grade on any single test or significant course activity is 70%.
F 0% 69.9999% FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL Not a passing grade. Course attendance certificate will be issued (not a successful course completion certificate).
