This manual applies to all Raven Advisory LLC, Raven Medical Inc, and Gryphon Group employees and contractors when providing or attending any EMS training activities and to students attending EMS training provided by Raven Medical Inc. EMS training activities
is defined as training by Raven Medical Inc utilizing curriculum by American Heart Association or National Association of EMTs. EMS training activities
also encompasses training provided by Raven Medical Inc for initial or refresher certification for a civilian EMS or medical license or certification.
According to the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), the following is the description of the profession: The Emergency Medical Services Professions include four levels: Paramedic, Advanced EMT, EMT, and Emergency Medical Responder. CAAHEP accredits educational programs at the Paramedic and Advanced EMT levels. Programs at the EMT and Emergency Medical Responder levels may be included as exit points in CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic and Advanced EMT programs. “Stand-alone” EMT and Emergency Medical Responder programs may be reviewed by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
